The Riwoche horse is a type of archaic Tibetan horse discovered and then described in 1995 by the French ethnologist and explorer Michel Peissel in a valley of Kham, in the autonomous region of Tibet. He then tought that it was a missing link between the wild horse and the domestic horse, but subsequent analyzes showed that these animals were perfectly domestic and belonged to the Tibetan pony group. The Bon-po people capture these horses to put them to work.
